Marc M. Berson, O.D., M.BA., Optometrist, General Eye Care and Specialty Contacts Lenses
Marc M. Berson, O.D., M.B.A. is an optometrist practicing in our Wyomissing, Pottsville, and Easton Offices. He will be joining the Progressive Vision Institute in the Fall of 2018. Dr. Berson earned his Bachelor of Science in Natural sciences from Muhlenberg College and received his Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. He continued his training, receiving an MBA in Health Care Management from DeSales University.
Dr. Berson practiced Optometry in a group practice in Allentown for over 30 years. He performs vision and ocular health examinations and has a special interest in specialty contact lenses, including astigmatic, multifocal and scleral lenses. Dr. Berson is an adjunct faculty member at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University and has lectured nationally and internationally on business, environmental optometry, and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Berson is a member of Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH) and has traveled to Haiti, Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, and Nicaragua to perform eye exams and treat eye disease afflicting the residents of the rural communities in those countries. This Fall, he will travel to Nepal with a team of physicians and optometrists to set up a clinic in a remote village in the shadow of Mt. Everest.
Dr. Berson is a member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the Lehigh Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Berson lives in the Lehigh Valley with his wife and enjoys visiting his son in North Carolina and daughter in New Jersey. He loves to travel, run marathons, triathlons, bike and builds wooden boats in his spare time.
