Jonathan K. Hu, M.D., began his higher education at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he graduated with honors receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics. Dr. Hu earned his Medical Degree with academic honors from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Cornell University in New York, NY and his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL.
Dr. Jonathan Hu is a board-certified ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in vitreo-retinal surgery. He treats patients with a wide variety of retinal disorders at Progressive Vision Institute, including diabetic eye disease and age-related macular degeneration. Before joining our team, Dr. Hu spent time in Detroit, Michigan honing his ophthalmic skills at Kresge Eye Institute. Dr. Hu has held various resident positions at the University of Florida. He also served as Clinical Instructor at Kresge Eye Institute. Throughout his career, Dr. Hu has been involved with numerous clinical trials for treating diseases such as age-related macular degeneration.
